The contemporary community, situated at the foot of the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque, is filled with adobe homes and all-natural sagebrush and cactus landscaping. It has spectacular city and mountain views and some of the cleanest air in the country. Sixty-five percent of residents have graduate degrees, due to the high concentration of defense related federal laboratories in the area. The property tax rate is just 7%”. Most people have to balance their real estate aspirations with reality -- compromising on acreage or culture in exchange for better schools or lower property taxes. But that’s no reason to give up and settle. Sure, you might own the cheapest house in a top suburb, but is that really worth it? Wouldn’t it be better if you could live in a decent house and still send your kids to a good school?
